Sparkle Clarifier (Spa)

Bring the sparkle back to dull hot tub water. This polymer-based clarifier gathers the fine particles that slip through your filter into clumps big enough to catch in a single pass.

Sizes and prices

Available in 1L, 2.5L, 5L, 10L, 20L, 25L.

How to use

  1. Test sanitiser, pH and alkalinity; get them all in band first.
  2. Set the pump to circulation mode rather than full jets.
  3. Pour 50 ml of Sparkle Clarifier per 1500 L into the skimmer.
  4. Keep circulation running continuously for 4-12 hours.
  5. Check filter pressure; rinse the cartridge or backwash if pressure has risen 25 kPa.
  6. Retest sanitiser and pH; rebalance if needed.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to work?

Most water clears within 4-12 hours of continuous circulation.

Does it affect sanitiser?

No. The polymer is inert to chlorine, bromine and MPS.

How often should I use it?

After every water change, after every shock, and any time the water looks dull.

How many doses does 1 L give?

Around 20 doses for a 1500 L hot tub.

Is it salt-water safe?

Yes. It is safe for salt chlorinator cells and salt-system spas.

Will it remove algae?

It helps clear dead algae fragments after a shock, but live algae has to be killed by the sanitiser first.

What is the active ingredient?

A high-charge cationic polyelectrolyte from the poly-DADMAC family.

Why does pH matter for the clarifier?

Above pH 7.8 the negative charges on suspended particles weaken, so the polymer cannot bridge them well.

Does it raise total dissolved solids?

Marginally. 100 ml per 1000 L adds around 50 ppm TDS.

Water still cloudy?

Check pH is 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity 80-120 ppm; redose once rebalanced.

Filter blocked after dosing?

Expected. Rinse the cartridge or backwash; the polymer has captured the haze.

Greasy film on the surface?

A high body-oil content. Clean the cartridge overnight and dose Foam Away.

Clarifier or flocculant?

Clarifier groups particles for the filter; flocculant settles them to the floor for vacuuming. Zagosa Sparkle is a clarifier.

Clarifier or Foam Away?

Clarifier polishes hazy water; Foam Away knocks foam down. They solve different problems and can be dosed together.
