How to use

1. Switch off the pump and isolate the power before opening the filter housing.
2. Lift out the old cartridge and rinse the housing.
3. Fit the new cartridge, making sure the O-ring seal seats correctly.
4. Close the housing, restart the pump and check for leaks.
5. Rinse the cartridge weekly with a garden hose, top to bottom between the pleats.
6. Soak it monthly with Filter Cartridge Cleaner; replace the cartridge every 4-6 weeks.

How often do I replace it?

Can I rinse it to extend the life?

Yes, a weekly rinse keeps the cartridge usable through the 4-6 week cycle. Rinsing alone will not take it past 6 weeks.

Is it generic or brand-specific?

How do I clean it between changes?

Can I bleach it to extend its life?

No. Bleach degrades polyester pleats and shortens their life. Use only Filter Cartridge Cleaner or equivalent.

Cloudy water with a new cartridge?

Sanitiser is too low or a shock is needed; it is not a filter problem.

O-ring leak?

Replace it and lubricate before refitting.

Polyester or paper cartridge?

Polyester pleats wash and last longer; paper is single-use. Polyester is the modern hot tub standard.
