Frequently asked questions

What is in the Premium Chlorine kit?

Nine 500 unit bottles (chlorine granules, pH Plus, pH & Alkalinity Reducer, Total Alkalinity Increaser, Foam Away, Sparkle, Surface Cleaner, Scale Inhibitor, Non-Chlorine Shock) plus 3-in-1 strips.

Which kit do I need?

Premium suits an owner who wants a full care regime including shock and cleaning. Choose Standard for the basics plus foam, or Premium Plus to add flush and cartridge care.

How long do the contents last?

Shock is weekly; clarifier, cleaner, scale inhibitor and foam control are as-needed, so they last well. Balancers and chlorine cover the early weeks then top up with refills.

Chlorine or bromine?

Chlorine acts fast and tops up easily; bromine is steadier at spa temperatures. This is the chlorine kit; a matching Premium Bromine kit is available.

Can I buy the items separately?

Yes, every one of the nine products is sold on its own for refills.

Why include scale inhibitor?

In hard-water areas minerals form scale on the heater and shell; the inhibitor holds them in solution and is best added on the fresh fill.

Is it better value than Standard plus extras?

Yes, buying the nine products together costs less than the Standard kit plus the four extra bottles bought separately.

What is non-chlorine shock for?

It oxidises the bather waste that turns into combined chlorine, clearing the harsh smell without adding to the chlorine level.

What tub size does it suit?

A home hot tub of 1,000 to 3,000 litres; larger volumes need more chemical.

Still hazy after Sparkle?

Rinse or replace the filter cartridge so it can catch the clumped particles.

Need a deeper clean?

Premium Plus adds Hot Tub Flush and Cartridge Cleaner for pipework and filter care.
