How to use

1. Test sanitiser, pH and calcium hardness; if hardness is under 150 ppm, dose calcium too.
2. Set the pump to low circulation rather than full jets.
3. Pour 25 ml of Foam Away per 1000 L straight across the foam head.
4. Give it 60 seconds; the foam should drop back to the surface.
5. If foam returns within 24 hours, redose at half strength and clean the filter.

How fast does it work?

The foam usually collapses within 60 seconds of dosing.

Does it affect chlorine or bromine?

No. The silicone emulsion has no chemical reaction with chlorine, bromine or pH.

Can I bathe straight after dosing?

Give it 30 minutes so the antifoam disperses fully through the water.

How many doses does 1 L give?

Around 25 standard doses for a 1500 L hot tub.

Is it safe for inflatable hot tubs?

Yes. It is safe on vinyl, acrylic and inflatable surfaces.

Will it work in a pool?

Yes. Use 25 ml per 1000 L to knock pool foam down.

What is the active ingredient?

Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), the food-grade antifoam used the world over.

Does it raise total dissolved solids?

Marginally. Leaning on antifoam long term can creep TDS toward 1500 ppm; refresh some water if doses become weekly.

Why is calcium hardness linked to foam?

Calcium binds the surfactant-like body oils that would otherwise foam. Soft water has nothing to bind them, so foam forms readily.

Foam keeps coming back?

Test calcium hardness and raise it to 150-200 ppm with Calcium Hardness Increaser.

Cloudy water after dosing?

Drop the next dose to 15 ml per 1000 L and run the filter for 24 hours.

Sanitiser dropping after dosing?

Shock with MPS at 17 g per 1000 L and check the filter is clean.

Foam Away or household antifoam?

Household antifoams often contain solvents that attack acrylic. Foam Away is hot tub safe and pH-neutral.

Foam Away or Sparkle Clarifier?

Foam Away knocks foam down in seconds. Clarifier groups fine particles for the filter and is not a foam fix.
