How to use

  1. Unscrew the floater base and load up to 4 tablets into the central column.
  2. Refit the base; set the ports narrow for slow release or wide for fast.
  3. Drop the floater in and let it drift clear of the skimmer suction.
  4. Check the tablet level every 7 days; refill when 1 tablet is left.
  5. Wipe the floater monthly with a soft cloth to clear tablet residue.
  6. Store it dry between uses; mineral residue will discolour it over time.

Frequently asked questions

How many tablets does it hold?

Up to 4 standard 20 g bromine or chlorine mini tablets.

Bromine or chlorine?

Either, but not mixed. Pick one chemistry per floater and stick with it.

How long between refills?

1-2 weeks for a typical 1500 L tub at 2-3 tablets per fill.

Will it fit my tub?

It is a universal floater that fits all hot tubs and small spas. A tether is available for swim spa flow.

Is the rate adjustable?

Yes. The threaded vent ports open and close to set the feed rate.

What replacement tablets do I need?

Bromine Tablets 20g or Chlorine Mini Tablets, sold separately by your chemistry choice.

What is it made of?

HDPE with an HDPE base seal, all resistant to chlorine and bromine.

Why use a floater?

Loose tablets bleach acrylic; a floater keeps the dissolution in a controlled column with a vented release.

Can I use it in a swimming pool?

For small pools yes, but a skimmer feed is more practical at pool scale. The floater is the hot tub standard.

Sanitiser too low?

Open the ports, add an extra tablet, and check the water flow around the floater.

Sanitiser too high?

Close the ports, reduce the tablet count, and remove the floater for 24 hours if needed.

Floater or erosion feeder?

A floater is portable and fits any tub; an erosion feeder is plumbed in-line for a permanent install. Choose by your tub setup.
